I heard a patient’s family member say something similar to a nurse (You have ONLY two patients…) when I rotated through the ICU. The nurse said she only bit her tongue because I was a student. I had to bite my tongue as well, because not only was this person insulting all the ICU nurses and trying to ‘teach’ ME to not be like those nurses in my career, they were also complaining about the thread count of the hospital bed sheets…
